Hm, weird — maybe the menus I've seen those features on were using non-Chinese fonts for some reason? I'll link to photos in the morning. Example of "Japanese" style 拌 (first dish in top left-hand corner), example of "Japanese" style 包 (middle column, 5th from bottom; also see 拌 in the first column, 5th from bottom).

Re dinner, we've already had two drop out so I'll be phoning the restaurant again tomorrow afternoon to let them know revised numbers. Let me know as soon as you can whether your friend can make it or not?
