No, it's not specifially grape wine - it's intoxication that's forbidden.

The ways in which people deal with this varies, and of course there are plenty of Muslims who do drink (even in countries where it's forbidden - generally the rich will find ways around inconvenient rules) but The Prophet Mohamed instructed his followers that if a substance was intoxicating when taken in large amounts, then it was forbidden to take it even in small amounts.
