For a wedding or new year banquet, the food tends to be served in the style of a tasting menu, i.e. one dish at a time. Rice is not typically served, unless requested at such occasions, and the default carb is noodles, at the end of the meal.

I'd also like to point out that the menu at Dumplings' Legend wasn't just the English menu but the only menu.
