Ah-ha, thanks, I didn't know that. I can see it working with roast meats and rice. In the first draft of this post I had the fork-and-spoon thing noted down as my individual preference — I think I'm scarred from too many times of being presented with a plate of rice that's already had something in a gloopy sauce poured over it, and being expected to eat it with chopsticks alone!
